Wire Mesh Grinding Wheels
CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) has long been considered difficult to process by grinding, as poor chip evacuation often leads to loading and clogging. The electroplated Wire Mesh Grinding Wheels overcome this challenge through a patented design in which diamond abrasives are electroplated onto a metal mesh or an ultra-thin core.
This structure provides excellent chip evacuation, enabling high-efficiency, high-quality, and cost-effective machining of CFRP.
By finely shearing carbon fibers with diamond abrasive grains, the material is cut cleanly without generating burrs or delamination, even though CFRP is a difficult-to-machine material.
For cutting applications, we offer a blade-type wheel that can be easily mounted on existing equipment (150 mm outer diameter, 0.7 mm thickness).
For CFRP machining operations, we also provide core drills in sizes from φ8 mm to φ32 mm, addressing the limited tool size options typically available for CFRP processing.
